Greensboro-based Tencarva Machinery Co. will sell products in Tennessee and Arkansas, as well as locations in north and central Mississippi from ITT Goulds Pumps, one of the largest manufacturers of clean water and chemical process pumps in the world.

Tencarva sells and services machinery, primarily pumps and other liquid handling equipment, in the industrial and municipal markets. The company employs more than 300 people at its 26 branches in North Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

ITT Goulds Pumps is based in Seneca Falls, N.Y., and has worked with Tencarva for more than 34 years.

“This announcement adds municipal market responsibility to Tencarva’s long-standing relationship with ITT Goulds Pumps in the industrial marketplace,” Harold Muse, executive vice president of Tencarva, said in a statement. “… This addition, coupled with being a distributor of John Crane Mechanical Seals, positions Tencarva to be an unique problem solver for the municipalities and the engineering firms that support the municipal marketplace.”

Tencarva was honored last week by The Business Journal for being among the Triad’s top 50 fast-growing, privately held firms.
